I Sing Praise (poem)

I sing ‘cause I’m confident

Even when I had not asked

I was already forgiven,

The failures of my past.

God knows me,

Has counted every hair on my head.

I read that once in his book,

And believe everything it said.

````

Within the vast pages,

Are verses, psalms and praise

To share these with others,

My voice, I will raise.

````

From what I’ve learned,

God forgave things I’ve done.

So, I’ll share the good news,

Regarding His Son.

Filled with awe and thanks

That I am able to speak

And share Bible teachings

I had ventured to seek.

````

I will sing out loud

The music within my heart,

With worship and praise

I strive to do my part.
