Ah Nature!
John Muir (1835-1914) developed a great love for nature and viewed it as a source for understanding God. Historian Dennis Williams says that Muir referred to creation as the “Book of Nature”. Muir was able to study the plants and animals in the environment he says “comes straight from the hand of God uncorrupted by civilization and domestication.” He was instrumental in creating many U.S. National Parks, including Yosemite, Sequoia and Mount Rainier.

There is a form of creationism known as Intelligent Design ( ID ) and also known as "The Wedge." It may be defined as the theory that life, or the universe, cannot have risen by chance and was designed by some intelligent entity. It can also be an argument for the existence of God.
Within the ID concept, is a movement with the “Big Tent” strategy. This plays an important role. One belief of the “Big Tent” is where ALL (believers) theists are united by having some kind of creationist belief. So it is a great way for several religious groups to actually, amicably agree to disagree, in an agreeable way!
The Discovery Institute, has formulated a number of campaigns to promote ID, while discrediting evolutionary biology, which the Institute terms "Darwinism".
The movement's first goal is to establish an acceptance of intelligent design at the expense of evolution in public school science; its long-term goal is the "renewal" of American culture through the shaping of public policy. The Institute states: "Design theory promises to reverse the stifling dominance of the materialist worldview, and to replace it with a science consonant with Christian and theistic convictions."
Secularists oppose ID. They figure that it would bring a supernatural assumption into the field of science.
Ironically, Isaac Newton, the father of modern physics, was a committed Christian who claimed the universe’s orderliness came from its Creator.

Oh, I was hoping this was longer because it was so interesting. How can anybody not look outside their kitchen window and not be in awe of what nature provides, including a tree which provides shade. I've been to several national parks and all the views were incredible. Thank you, Zabbella.
Very interesting, Zabbella. It is hard for me to believe this beautiful world we live in was an accident. I am an artist who strives to celebrate the beauty of this CREATION in everything I do. It is important to me that we have conversations like this. We may not understand it all, but that is part of the beauty of it!
